Highland Park Response
We are deeply saddened by the shooting that took place in Highland Park during the Fourth of July parade. A day meant for celebrating our freedom and independence was marred by a senseless act of violence. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those in our community who lost loved ones, were injured, or were in any way impacted by this tragic act.
We would like to thank our communities’ staff who kept in close contact with local authorities and monitored developments throughout the day to ensure the safety of our residents and staff. At this moment, we are not aware of any Presbyterian Homes employees, residents, or their family members who were victims of this shooting.
We recognize that tragedy affects us differently. Whether you are a resident or an employee, Presbyterian Homes stands ready to assist by providing a variety of services to help you through this difficult time. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our staff for help.
In times like these, it is critical we remain focused on the positives in our community, our individual and collective well-being, and come together to show compassion and offer assistance to those who may be struggling.
