Hospice

Hospice Services of Presbyterian Homes can assist residents and their families in meeting the special needs arising from the physical, emotional, spiritual and social stresses experienced during the final stages of a life-limiting illness.

Our sensitive, caring hospice staff seeks to ease the pain and alleviate the symptoms experienced as a result of serious illnesses, while providing support to the family and caregivers.

Working closely with the patient's primary physician and our medical director, our team of nurses, social workers, chaplains, home health aides and volunteers bring together the resources that each person needs. Our staff provides scheduled visits to the patient, whether at home, at one of our health care centers, or in the hospital.

We believe that dealing with grief is an important part of the entire hospice process. Our bereavement services are offered to the patient, caregiver, family and friends throughout the hospice treatment and for at least a year after the client's death. Hospice Services are available to those who reside in Presbyterian Homes' communities and to those in the community at large.
