Adult Day Services
Presbyterian Homes’ Adult Day Services program serves those over the age of 60, many of whom have developed physical, mental or emotional challenges. We provide genuine care and support for these individuals by respecting their identity and needs in an open community of participants, staff and volunteers. Ninety-nine percent of our participants receive some kind of subsidy.
Adult Day Services provide an array of programs, from working in the greenhouse to ceramics, and from reminiscing sessions to drama. The goal of the Adult Day Services program is to enable older adults to continue to enjoy quality lives, providing a much-needed respite for families and caregivers. Interaction with another human being is vital to remaining healthy in any human being, but becomes especially important as we age.
Great Opportunities Adult Day Services in Skokie offers a safe and stimulating environment for older adults from neighboring communities. Presbyterian Homes relies on outside support to expand these programs to accommodate the ever-increasing demand for them.
