About Presbyterian Homes

Founded in 1904, Presbyterian Homes is a not-for-profit, faith-based organization with a national reputation for creating extraordinary senior living and retirement communities. Presbyterian Homes serves older adults through its residential and healthcare programs on campuses in Evanston, Lake Forest and Arlington Heights for more than 100 years. The organization is accredited by CCAC and CARF, the nation’s only accrediting body for retirement communities.

Everything we do is about serving our current and future residents.Through our Choices Program we offer thought-provoking discussions and lectures to keep an active mind. Fitness centers with personal trainers, strength-training equipment and swimming pools. Dynamic activities and social events to encourage new friendships - there is something for every interest. Complete, on-campus, full-service health care centers if the need ever arises.

Guarantee of Continued Residence

At Presbyterian Homes, we provide for a lifetime of services and amenities, but what separates us is our financial strength that allows us to provide a guarantee of continued residence. What this means is if you outlive your assets you will never have to leave your friends and community. With the rising cost of care, this commitment ensures that your future needs can be met, providing you more flexibility without the worry or burden.

We give you peace of mind by providing estate preservation and a lifestyle free of worries about future health care and associated costs. We include a range of health care services in return for a one-time entrance fee and ongoing monthly service fee. The fees are based on the size of the home you select. You may choose for the entrance fee to be non-refundable or, depending on the community, from 50% to 90% refundable to you or your estate if you leave the community for any reason.

You’ll have access to any level of care — assisted living, memory support and skilled nursing care — whenever it may be needed. And you’ll receive this care from highly-trained staff of professionals in the familiar surroundings of your own community. You can rest easy knowing you’ve provided for every contingency, and concentrate on simply living life and pursuing your interests.

Our Benevolent Program

Beyond the engaging programs, the gracious residences, and the comprehensive health care is something even more important. The Geneva Foundation of Presbyterian Homes provides more than $7.5 million annually in residential, medical and community services to older adults in need. In fact, 1 in 7 residents receives financial assistance through our charitable programs.
