Volunteer programs

Consider the opportunities to enrich your life by sharing your time and talents. In the process, you may build new relationships, learn something new, have fun, and feel healthier.

Each year volunteers, together with The Woman’s Board, log tens of thousands of hours of service. They enrich the lives of residents by spending time together. It is the personal service and caring of these volunteers that sets Presbyterian Homes apart from other retirement communities. Volunteer Services has been part of Presbyterian Homes since its beginning. Our first volunteers formed the Woman’s Board of Managers and pitched in “to establish a home that made all its residents feel as if they were beloved members of a family.” Today residents and individuals from throughout the North Shore continue that commitment to ensure that Presbyterian Homes is a place that nurtures heart and soul.

Won’t you consider joining these special men and women?

Volunteer at Presbyterian Homes

Let us help you discover how you can make a difference.

Volunteers at Presbyterian Homes make a significant difference in the lives of the residents. Please consider joining our volunteer force.

  • Enrich your life by becoming a companion — visit, read, make a connection you will both value.
  • Keep fit while helping someone else to do the same — transport a health care resident to the fitness center or to a rehabilitation therapy appointment.
  • Explore your own passions: create beautiful music, work in our greenhouse, explore and share your talents with residents.

We will train you and offer guidance. For more information, call Pat Fiorio, Director of Volunteer Services, at 847-492-2980.
