Created to serve those who need us most

It was the mission of our founders in 1904 to establish a home for older adults with limited financial means. The Geneva Foundation of Presbyterian Homes today provides one in six residents with residential, medical or social services, or with spiritual support. As a not-for-profit corporation, all financial support comes from the generous contributions of individual, foundation and corporate donors, as well as income from our endowment fund. Resident fees are never used for charitable programs.

For over a century, these charitable efforts have helped older adults from an ever-growing diversity of backgrounds.

The best way to see the Geneva Foundation work is to come for a visit and learn how the Foundation helps seniors in need through a range of programs:

Endowed Bed Program

The high cost of healthcare — particularly for older adults — has a devastating effect on a family’s resources. These costs can exceed $100,000 per year; more than most can afford.

Qualified individuals from surrounding communities enter the Endowed Bed Program when they can no longer live without skilled nursing and 24-hour care. The Endowed Bed Program provides long-term, round the clock health care, regardless of an individual’s ability to pay. Patients receive the highest quality care in a loving, supportive community.

Geneva Life Care

In 1904 the mission was to provide sheltered care and to help older Presbyterians enjoy life to its fullest potential regardless of their ability to pay.

True to our roots, the Geneva Life Care Program is dedicated to helping qualified older adults who otherwise could not afford the basic costs of retirement living. The program provides a continuum of care, at the highest level of independence their health will allow, for the remainder of a resident’s life.

The average annual cost of supporting one resident in the Geneva Life Care Program can exceed $54,000.
